The Samlex STS-30 Transfer Switch will automatically switch between two AC sources, ensuring that only one AC power source is connected to your AC loads at any one time. On the road, this means you can simply plug in to shore power without having to manually switch between power sources, and your AC sources will automatically switch without interruption.
The STS-30 can also be used in homes by installing the transfer switch at the breaker box and connecting a generator or inverter to the transfer switch. This will allow you to run selected circuits for appliances such as a furnaces, well and sump pumps, refrigerators, TV’s, computers or lights during a power outage.
The STS-30 Transfer Switch features dual AC receptacles for setting up a backup power or UPS (Un-interruptible Power Supply) system consisting of an inverter, a battery charger and batteries. This type of backup power system / UPS can be used in a variety of applications including on-grid, off-grid and RV. It also features a 15A power cord providing an easy, pluggable connection to your inverter or generator.
The STS-30 Transfer Switch is designed for single phase operating voltage of 120 VAC, 60 Hz and can handle up to 30 Amps.
